MFC Carnival.... Help Needed

MFC Carnival.... Help Needed

Postby Shrimps Trust » Thu Mar 05, 2015 6:57 pm

OK, so as we said before we are going to need some help off the fans. To make the float look as good as we can, we need a couple of thousand paper flowers making. Now if only everyone brought 2 or 3 to the next couple of home games that would be great, BUT WE ALL KNOW that aint going to happen   .

So what w are asking is can you help? The club will provide you with the tissue paper and instructions needed and a bag to put them in. I think the paper is in 100 pack's so it could be done while watching TV, or even waiting for The Shrimps to come on the Football league Show. Anyone who can help and would like to make some should contact Gillian on reception, and collect the stuff from there. Office hours only. But NOT MATCH DAYS as she is very very busy then.

Hope people can help and make the float one of the best on show.

Thanks

There has not been much of an uptake in Helping to make flowers :( The instructions are nice and clear, The are quite easy to make. As the fans forum is Straight after the AGM, why not come down early to the down stairs bar, Make a few flowers then go to the forum. After all we wont the MFC float to look good DON'T we?

I dropped off 4 bags of 50 flowers each at reception yesterday and, to be honest, was a little taken aback by the reaction I received. There was no-one on reception so I phoned the number on the notice left on the desk. After a few minutes a lady appeared and asked what I wanted. I said I'd brought some flowers for the carnival float only to receive a reply of "I'll get rid of these for you" I just hope she didn't mean this literally!

Now I didn't want, or expect, heaps of thank yous but a smile and a "thanks" would have been nice.

Mrs Sak, with a little help from me when I could, has made nearly 350 flowers but I'm afraid that in future they will be relegated down the list of priorities.

Rant over.

Well done to all concerned.
Great to see the team get involved as well.
Mark Hughes and Aaron both showed their show business potential.

Does Mark Hughes usually wear glasses ?

I hope his appearance in the Carnival means he has signed or is going to sign a new contract. Some of his blocks and tackles in our penalty area are match-saving not to mention that overhead clearance against Accrington that looked certain to be a goal.
