Could steal some time off the fan's forum, after all, how much time do you need for one fan? (Sorry, Grammar Nazi at work  )

tough questions?

is that some kind of a joke?

PMG will no doubt be polite if any of his customers ask him any questions, but he's not obliged to answer to anybody, the vast majority of his customers will not give a toss about this meeting

Sad fact but true. Most people don't seem to care that much about anything MFC and that's why numbers are plummeting. Because been bothered has people like you to remind us that the powers that be don't give a shit about the little man.

you are mistaking my point stoyles,i don't think fans or customers have the right to dictating anything to the owner, who bankrolls the team, or the manager, who has a very tight budget, the real tough questions should be directed at local football fans, things like 'do you want a fl team, or a part time non league team,in morecambe, businesses with no customers tend to fail.

I've been asked to make it clear that the AGM & Fans Forum are BOTH in the DOWNSTAIRS BAR. There is an all day function in the Wright & Lord Suite so please don't go up there (unless you've got an invitation! :D ).

Nothing too sensational announced at the Fans Forum.

Jim has targets mainly midfield which he realises contribute too few goals (3 from our midfielders compared with 23 by Bury's midfielders)

I think he confirmed one name mentioned by a fan but I couldn't hear who it was.

He said Kev was one of the fittest players at Morecambe and is doing his coaching badges. Jim hopes he will be on our coaching staff when he does hang his boots up.

Maybe some other fans can put more flesh on these bones !

Also, Ryan Williams had 2 offers to move abroad from clubs to ply his trade where his style and pace of the game was felt it may be more suited.

Jim also said "that's where he may end up, we'll have to wait and see".

He's out of first team reckoning for a while as he's just had a hernia op which we knew of anyway.

Oh yes, and various discussions are ongoing with regard to a new sponsor for the ground as from next season.

An interesting stat was mentioned by Jimbo which I doubt many would have realised and that being that our strike force taken as a whole have scored as many if not more than any other combined strike force in the league. What has let us down has been the lack of goals from our midfield and this is an area that Jimbo will be working on during the close season to improve.

On a more humorous topic when asked had he settled his difference with Coleman, Jimbo said that the argument was in practice to sort a particular supporter out which drew a round of applause from the audience....no guessing as who he was on about...

Also Bees is taken lessons to become an aircraft pilot when his playing days are over..... :o

Otherwise it was an excellent evening following a somewhat uneventful AGM.

I spoke to Jim afterwards and asked him about Jack Sampson and from what he said, he no longer rated him. I mentioned about how he scored 2 goals for Macclesfield the other week but he said that the Conference is a lower standard and he suggested that Jack isn't good enough to play at our level. I mentioned how signing Jordan Burrow a few seasons back was a gamble and then he pointed out the same about Jack. Also I spoke to him about Chris Doyle, and he says that he has high hopes for him and I talked to him about the possibility of Chris playing on loan in the Conference next season. Jim also told me that he wants to sign midfielders with some class who will get in the starting XI and he is still looking at the Buxton striker, after watching him at the weekend.

The most exciting thing this summer will be what our ground will be called!

True. I'd like it to be more than just some big firm putting their name to it - I know the big money is desperately needed, but I'd like a sponsor who could add more to the club than just money. I'd love it to be something like "Bay Radio Stadium" with the money alongside some new marketing ideas via the local radio, i.e. to make it "The Bay's League 2 Club" rather than just Morecambe's in the hope of getting more bums on seats from Lancaster, Kendal, Grange, etc. Possibly extending the marketing angle to changing the club name from Morecambe FC to Morecambe Bay FC. Morecambe, as a town, is just too small to support a big club, so we need to make it the local area's club, not just Morecambe's. Pointless looking South due to Preston, Fleetwood & Blackpool, so if we want to increase gates we need to be concentrating on South Lakeland, which is Bay Radio's natural listener base outside Lancaster & Morecambe.
