Do we (this is where we need a poll option):

1, Give the inexperienced youngster Stewart a run in the team.

2, Revert back to Stavros Flatley after his suspension.

3, Bring someone in on loan.

Arestidou has been error prone since coming in to the team. He is unpredictable which creates an uncertainty amongst our defence. Jim got it wrong by not renewing the loan of Davies but will he make up for this by bringing a kepper in on loan?

Just mentioned this on another thread, but we apparently couldn't afford to keep Scott. It was well documented at the time.

We aren't going to go up or down, no point spending any funds unnecessarily on a goalkeeper.

I'd be going cap in hand to all the local big clubs to see if we can take a youngster on loan for a month (hopefully for free) to cover for Stav whilst he's suspended but then stick with Stav until the end of the season after that.

Presume he's just suspended for the Carlisle game, so not worth spending on back up. We had already opted for Tom as back up so here we are... The powers that be had probably decided at that point that we would reach 52 points comfortably

Whilst reflecting on last nights game as you mentioned midfield, I remember Gary Neville saying he knew when he played his final game that it was time to hang up his boots and as such I got that feeling with Drummy as his tackling, passing and contribution were all off the pace. Obviously he was not alone but he looked particularly frustrated with his own performance. A great servant to the club and a great deal more to offer with the next generation of players but maybe final season as a player for me.

Last night Drummy lost possession leaving their guy with a clear run on goal although he missed. Drummy just put his hands on his hips and didn't chase back. Fantastic servant to the club but we need a younger midfield.

I think we need a loan keeper in for the rest of the season.

The pertinent problem has been that we need Stewart Drummond. However we need him aged 29 not 39.

That would be the answer to all our problems. I still don't know why Stanners is at Eastleigh other than the pots of cash on offer but they can't be paying much more than what we would.

Which Accrington seem to do quite regularly and successfully it seems.

They're forever bringing new players in on loan. From the likes of Charlton and Fulham too some of them.

The worrying thing is that every season is like groundhog day.

We start well and have been top of league 2 at some point in 2 of Jim's 4 seasons in charge.

And then we have faded and scrapped around for enough points to avoid a relegation dog fight.

The football at home has generally been awful though.

I would make a cheeky loan bid for Shay Given, who hasn't played for Aston Villa in the league all season and he's 38yrs old, but look at Neil Sullivan who was happy to play in the lower leagues in his late 30s like some keepers do.
