O/T Simon Grayson to Leeds?

O/T Simon Grayson to Leeds?

Postby Christies Child » Mon Dec 22, 2008 4:36 pm

SG is the bookies favourite to take over at Leeds. The current Blackpool manager was refused permission by the 'pool Chairman to speak to the media at a scheduled news conference as reported on Radio Lancashire.

Radil lancs started to ask questions of assistant Tony Parkes but the 'pool Press Officer stopped the recording.

He does a great job at Blackpool on a small budget every week I am amazed when I see some of the results Blackpool come up with.

Grayson appointed Leeds manager

Grayson leaves Blackpool 16th in the Championship
Leeds United have appointed Simon Grayson as their new manager, the club have confirmed.

The 39-year-old leaves his post as Blackpool boss to take over the League One side, who sacked Gary McAllister on Sunday after five successive defeats.

Blackpool had initially refused Leeds permission to speak to the former Aston Villa defender on Monday.

Grayson, who started his career as a Leeds trainee, guided Blackpool to promotion to the Championship in 2007.

I hope Leeds did the deal in some dodgy manner leaving the door open for Blackpool to earn lots of compensation.

Are you suggesting there is some other way that Leeds could do things?

So how did that work out then?

Blackpool FC can confirm that Simon Grayson tendered his resignation at 0830 on Tuesday morning. The resignation was not accepted by the board of directors and the club and are now considering legal action against both Simon Grayson and Leeds United.

A more detailed statement will be made later in the day.

Wouldn't be suprised if it was either Paul Ince or Paul Simpson.

Outsider? Mike Newell.

Sammy Mc was mentioned by a couple at my office this morning as the type of manager who the Oystons could go for!
