Didn't Adlington wear one of those posh new suits that took seconds off her time?

Err and like Chris Hoy was totally on a bike like everyone else like and err Lewis Hamilton was in a car like and every other driver was in a car so shat up cos you err dont know nuffink.

I would have thought though that Rebecca Adlington should have been disqualified for have a keel board strapped to her face. :o ;)

Now now guys, no need to get nasty. My earlier point was that Adlington's world records were perhaps coloured by the suits (as was Michael Phelps'), but you can't diminish her achievement of 2 Golds.

For me tho, Hoy deserved it, 3 Golds, and it would have been 4 if they had kept the 1km Time Trial as an Olympic Event.

Bare Ben said "She's still well mingin" in reference to Rebecca Adlington.

Your opinion - Bare Ben - is flawed in the following areas:

1.How someone is perceived appearance wise should not detract from their achievements, which you appear to be trying to do.
2.How do you know what kind of person Rebecca Adlington is? You don't!!!!
3.Are you a little envious of her because it is probable that she is a better swimmer than you?

I find your comment offensive, and as you grow older you may begin to understand that appearances do not matter too much in the grand scheme of things, but it is the substance of the person that really counts in the end, and gives us all our cherished memories in future years.

Actually if they had kept the Kilo TT as an Olympic event Hoy would probably have only won 2 golds because throughout his career he almost solely concentrated on the Team Sprint and the Kilo TT and never won a medal in a major championships in any other event.

It was only when they announced that the Kilo TT was not going to be in the Olympics anymore that he took the Keirin and Sprint more seriously winning the Keirin World champs in 2007 and 2008 and the Sprint in 2008.

So by withdrawing the Kilo from the Olympics they actually did him a favour

Her achievement is wonderful, but I am allowed to comment on her appearance. Same as good-looking women.

2.How do you know what kind of person Rebecca Adlington is? You don't!!!!

I didn't realise you were so close

3.Are you a little envious of her because it is probable that she is a better swimmer than you?

Probable?? It's a certainty and I really don't care

I find your comment offensive

Are you Rebecca Adlington?
