Pre-season training update No5

Pre-season training update No5

All the usual faces could be seen being put through their paces by Mark Lillis today at the University of Lancaster.

There looked to be at least 2 new faces down; non of them familiar. One certainly was almost a look alike for Danny Adams complete with polished head!

Split into 2 groups of 14 with the two goalkeepers doing their own thing under the guidance of their specialised coach, the groups of 14 took it in turns to work with Mark and then Sammy. Sammy concentrating on ball work, whilst Mark was putting his group through a routine that I've never seen before. Split into couples, each had to wrap his arm around his partner and then together run through an obsticle course.

Just another innovative training method that Mark introduces to the schedule to make training more enjoyable and less of a familair routine.

Dave Edge was supervising a select group of 2 who no doubt have minor strains to be cared for.

Jamie Burns played for Barrow in their pre-season opener on Saturday and looks to be in line for a further outing tomorrow. Unfortunately Rogan evidently got a knock and is doubtful but Walker who some Bluebird fans rate will play.

Ok sorry to dissappoint that bald headed guy was no star trialist...one of the club docs joining in with training demonstrating particularly poor ball skills. But useful to see how the players are progressing.

Don't worry Sammy was not impressed enough to sign him up as a player!

...well he looked like DA from afar!

Really had the Michael taken out of me tonight at Bursco'...but evidently the players had a good laugh about it, so that's OK.

Sorry Doc or should that be 'sorry DA'.....??????
