We have scored within a minute of Burnley scoring against Arsenal in the Carling Cup!

What an amazing start.

Hayles beat two defenders, got a shot off. Roche saved but Vincent got to the rebound first.

2-1

"lucky not to see a red card as Brown was lucky not to see one on Saturday perhaps"

and that's from their commentators :?

according to their commentator we should have had another penalty "I've seen them given"

"[Cheltenham] a bit ragged at the back aren't they?" ..."hopelessly exposed"

What a shambles. A penalty that shouldn't have been Keithing given and then everyone thought it was a retake!

come on Matt, what the fuck happened there? Don't know what the penalty was for, sounds like it should have been re-taken?

according to THEIR commentary team, Cheltenham were lucky their defender wasn't sent off for the foul that resulted in our penalty, then "I've seen them given" for a handball, which should have led to us having a second penalty, then gave a penalty to them that absolutely no one in the commentary box saw.

Full time :(

Sounds like we were robbed. Even their commentators said that their defender was lucky not to get a red card for the foul that gave away the penalty "like Brown was on Saturday". Then they reckoned Cheltenham were lucky not to give away another penalty at 2-1 to us "I've seen them given and his arm definately came up".

To add insult to injury, even they couldn't work out what the Cheltenham penalty was for.

Sounds like we played well, although their commentary team also commented a few times in the last twenty minutes that we looked to be much more dangerous when we were "playing it on the deck rather than the long ball".

Not here to gloat, just wanted to say commiserations for tonight. Gutted I couldn't be there, but really enjoyed my trip up to Morecambe on Saturday and was fuming whe the ref called it off.

Sounded like you were really piling the pressure on in the second half, and as you've already stated earlier, our equalising penalty sounded very soft.

Best of luck for the rest of the season, and unless our league form changes pretty sharpish, we may see you next season.

It sounds like we played really well and the whole team can be immensely proud of themselves. From what I have read and heard we should have had 3 penalties (one to go 3-1 up) all together and they should have been down to 10 men never mind the fact that they should never have gotten that penalty. All immaterial now but gutting none the less. I just wish that referees would be held accountable when they have bad games. The worst thing is that the FA KNOWS that the referees throughout are not of the required standard as they decree that no incident in which the refereeing team can be seen to have a dubious or incorrect decision may be shown on screen in the ground during the game or words to that effect (I've lost my rule book  :x ).

End of the day though I hope we can take this performance forward now and kick on up the table.

Only problem is, if none of the referees are of the required standard, what can they do about it? Invent some refbots...?
