Game abandoned at 1-1, does this mean the next match will be at Cheltenham or will it be at Christie Park again?

As the game was abandoned on 65 minutes it will be replayed at home. I believe if it has got past 70 minutes the result would have stood, so would have been away?

Does this probably benefit us? I cant see Cheltenham being too happy about this!!
Another 5mins and yes the result would of stood, and it would of been a replay at their place, instead its back to christie park

Were in the Third round draw!!!

The reply should attract a decent crowd if we draw 'one of the big boys' (Fensome, 2000).

Hopefully by the time we replay it we'll have drawn liverpool or united!!! That way on a dark tuesday fogless night we may get a very large crowd.

Does this mean we'll have to pay the full admission price again for the re-match ?

Not sure the 70 minute rule applies to cup games, I thought the result only stood after 90 mins. Either way it's at CP.

As for admission prices to the next match, do as they announced and wait until monday rather than speculate.

I thought any match had to go the full 90 minutes for the result to stand. If it is the same arrangement as last years abandoned match against Darlington ticket holders got in for half price for the re arranged match from what i remember. If that is the case i hope they get their act togoether on the turnstiles this time because it was a f**king shambles on the night of the re arranged game as they took an age to check everyones ticket.

Looks like I can't make it. Isn't it a bit early?

Hmm You would have thought at least people who paid today would get half price at the next game.

There was me thinking the ref had used a bit of sense and had purposly made a decission before 70 min maybe not.

Thought Cheltenham were just starting to get into the game more and causing a few problems. Their goal was shocking and highlighted all our problems not closing down and lack of pace through the team de ja vue to darlo at home last season.

What 70 minute rule?

When a first match has been postponed, or is abandoned before the completion of 90minutes and neither Club being at fault, it shall be played on the same ground

Funny how different people see it differently. I thought that was true at the beginning of the second half, but by the time it was called off I thought we were back on top. I suspect their manager agreed - he was certainly keen to get the game abandoned.

Well we managed to play the full 90 minutes at Lancaster City this afternoon - who won 3-2 - but it was totally bizarre in the second half, because neither spectators nor linesman on my side of the ground could see across the width of the pitch. And as for trying to see from one end to the other, forget it! You just could not see the ball at times - or players! It would suddenly appear out of the fog.

I thought the rules for fog were that as long as the ref could see both goals from the half way line, the game was playable.

When we left the ground, we could see the goal at the Umbro stand fairly well from the North stand. Conditions were not ideal, but the decision seemed hasty. Yes it was worse than when we started but it didn't seem to be causing problems for players of either side. There was no danger to anybody....and to top it all we have to pay full whack again!!

Oh well at least we have made the 3rd round draw.

And what about the decision not to send off Cheltenham's goalie for assault. Shocking decision!!!

Mmmm not so sure about that one. Howe was going across goal and defenders were racing back.

Clear penalty and very well executed.

What happened? We had to wait to see the body language of the players before we could tell if he'd scored or not!

It's a shame we didn't win in the fog on Saturday, "We Can't See You Sneaking Out" would have been hilarious

Comedy value yesterday was excellent, the chants and the mascots especially. I thought Christie went a bit too far with the towel though
