The FA had settled a row about admission prices. Burnley had wanted to reduce tickets to the £6 minimum allowed under FA Cup rules so as to fill the ground to its 22,500 capacity, but, after their opponents objected, a compromise ruling was made. In the event 11,496, well 11,495, paid just over £100,000. I did buy some lottery tickets in return for my free seat and plate of roast beef of which the former Burnley luminary, butcher Bob Lord, would have been truly proud. The Canvey people and their civic guests felt they had been royally treated by their Lancashire hosts and returned to Essex with 45 per cent of the net receipts to add to the £100,000 earned from live television in the previous round.

For me I feel a simple statement would be appreciated by the majority and would act as confirmation the next time it happens.

I think a glance at the official website clarifies the prices for Tuesday.
In terms of the other part of your point (whether it needed another thread or not is another matter) I think you more than anyone should know that if it were humanly possible, the club and it's directors would love nothing more than to reward the fans with 1/2 price admission, or even free, in order to get a bigger gate. However, there are many factors to consider, as well as expenses to pay, and to criticise our board of all boards is completely below the belt. Our board do more than most to try and communicate with the fans as much as they can as well as being accessible to them. I can't see many more clubs for who the vast majority of fans have the Chief Exec's mobile number!!
Get a grip CC and stop trying to whip up a frenzy. It's no one's fault that the game was abandoned, and the club can't afford to pay another load of expenses to stage another game. If money was no object, it would be free entry. But seeing as though it is, we have to do our bit and fork out.

Wouldn't the club miss out on just as much money from people not going because of the non-reduced admission prices (£13 a head) as opposed to reducing the admission by a couple of quid to appease people (say £3 a head)
Obviously I don't know all about these things, but just a thought.

I've been looking forward to this as soon as the draw came out, I love the FA cup and like many fans and that extra buzz going to the game today. Whether the game should have been abandoned is one debate but for the club to charge the same again they can forget it.
I know this message board is renowned for not being able to criticise the board but like Shrimpman said, Chesterfield are charging £1 for what is a bonus game in terms of revenue. If the club charged £1 and got a decent crowd in which could spur on the team on to the next round surely it would be worth it.
I'm really disappointed with the club, I will not be going on tuesday and I'm not travelling back and paying again.
