Home grown players; McGivern and Jimbo was upset...

...all items featured on the official site.

A bit of a blow that McGivern will not at the moment returning to CP, but sounds as though Sammy is looking to bring in at least one more loanee before the weekend.

The news about the proposal concerning 'home grown player' is about time.

And as for Jimbo....he was gutted!

Personally I think Sgt. Major was the one being patronising.

Sometimes I come on here to try and find out what is going on at the club - to have to play a game similar to Cludeo when people post cryptic stuff is not in my opinion any good. As for the Official site - cant say I particularly like it, a bit like the new kit - my opinion only!

Seasider - who are you!!!

I'm all for the home-grown rule! It might make us give our youngsters more of a chance in the first team - out of the 2 youth players signed this year, Taylor is a real find but I'm pessimistic about Bell when he has to compete with Bentley, Artell, McStay, Adams and Parrish for a chance, and how many of Ball, Jarvis, McCluckie, Langford and Jamie Davies got a league appearance last year?

In theory its a good idea, at least its the same for every club, though the most likely outcome would be that the youngsters would be on the substitutes bench.

At least the rule about being on the books for three years prior to their 21st birthday would stop clubs coming in for your best young players just to stick on their bench.

On the other hand there would be a lot of older squad players who would suddenly be surplus to requirements.
