There were dull patches here and there but I thought it was a decent game. Barney Ronay of the Guardian wrote an interesting blog on it

What??!! Great to see an England side play with some passion for the shirt for a change, looked more like a club side sho understood where each was supposed to be playing.
Nice dilemma for the manager, who to pick/leave out for the future. 8-)

You may remember a month or two ago me and Lloydie went on a German football fact finding mission into the depest darkest depths of the German 3rd division.
Anyway it turns out one of the chaps on their forum who is a bit like our Gnasher takes photos of everything went to the game on Wednesday and has produced the following brilliant pictures:-

Love the banner in the 5th picture.

he seemed very impressed with the atmosphere created by the English fans especially the siging of the national anthem and says the German vans were very quiet.
