I hope my predicting prowess returns to its previous poor quality (as highlighted by my good friend Ned) because I don't have a good feeling about this one.

I think we have done really well, with injuries and suspensions, to put out a team that has battled and given every ounce of their effort to get the last two wins.

It may be that with Danny back and Howe in the line-up again we have enough to keep Exeter on the back foot for spells and we 'may' continue our good run.

But if I was betting I'd go for a defeat - perhaps by two goals (1-3) - as Exeter (who have, apparently, not had the best of luck in their last few games and have some dangerous players) have a couple of points to prove both to themselves and to us!

There have been periods against Aldershot and Chester when we've been exposed by attacking midfielders and have had to pull out all the stops. We've done it - and that says a lot about our spirit and teamwork.

But it's been a real struggle for us and I just fear that may catch up with us on Saturday.

After that I think we'll regroup and start to pick up good results again - I just think this Saturday the visit of a good team may have come at the wrong time for us. Hope I'm proved wrong - and the team has the togetherness and work ethic to do just that.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

And at least one City supporter from Morecambe and one from Levens!

We have a bad record against Exeter City
i agree with shrimper
forget Wembley this will be the toughest test this season at home
if we get a draw it will be a cracking result with our squad injuries/suspensions
heart says 1 1
head says 0 2
we need a cracking atmosphere saturday

I pretty much think this will be the best game of the season and a fantastic atmosphere.

Exeters away goals for after 8 matches is 12 with 8 against obviously they go away to defend and hope to grab a goal . So we have to attack them from the start , score 1st and hopefully pull them out of there defensive mode. Could be a 1 nil win to the shrimps with HOWE scoring

I think we are getting better, in that we can play football but we're getting tougher too, so I can see us sneaking a win. But, I'm still not convinced that we can keep a clean sheet against a team like Exeter, so I'll go for (and be happy with) 1-1.

Morecambe at home: P8 W2 D4 L2 Points = 10

Exeter away: P8 W5 D1 L2 Points = 16
(yet they've only won 3 at home)

Not looking good at the moment :? I have this funny feeling though that Danny might sneak another winning goal?

I'll be there for this one and, much as I'd like to see a win, it's unlikely. 2-2 for me :P

I agree with the general cautious optimism. I don't think we have ever beaten Exeter apart from 20.05.07. so I would think a score draw is likely, either 1-1 or 2-2, but if the injuries are clearing up, then a win is possible, after all if Curzon Ashton can do it........ :D

thats a great point they lost at curzon ashton in the cup and also lost at aldershot in the league so there confidence will be a bit down at the moment plus they have got matt gill suspended and also a few injuries to contend with - i am very optimistic about saturday but i always am....2 - 1 to the shrimps

3-1 to The Shrimps.

Sod the conservative predictions.

Our season has turned.

Danny to score 2 and Jimbo with a header.

Crowd 1989.

I will miss this one, off to watch Rangers tomorrow though i will be there in spirit, difficult game but then again they all are, hopefully a win or at least a draw to keep this run going and build confidence, i will go for 2-1.
