Congratulations Janet and the rest of the team that work so hard in the community scheme teaching boys and girls the joy and the discipline of football. Those rainy afternoons with a handful of primary school kids are well worth it and made a big impression on my two kids.

from my reading of the article this must mean that Morecambe's football in the community programme is the best outside of the premiership. not bad eh.

We are after City and Bolton, both of whom plough many, many thousands into their schemes which we simply could not do. My lad has taken part in several of Man City's events and for our club to come even close to that is truly exceptional. I am sure several other big clubs will be close to City's spending and Janet and the team beat them.
Very, very well done!

Thats fantastic news and just reward for all the hard work put in. My son [aged 8] has been going to the 'football camps' in the school hols and the thing that impresses me and him is that they have FUN - little comps / penalty shoot outs etc. ; some of the kids coaching can get a little too serious too soon.

Well done Janet and the team.

It's impossible to explain just how big an achievement this is. Bear in mind the following:

1. We were the only non-Premiership team nominated.
2. We've only been linked with the League for one season.

The work that's being done not only delivers fantastic results in the community but also for the Football Club as a whole. It's helping build an amazing future for the football club.

A superb achievement that we can only build on.

Anyone who has seen the effort put in, and the results from all the hard work, realised it was only a matter of time before recognition came knocking.

Make no bones about this, it is a MASSIVE slap on the back for this football club and in particular the work of the football in the community team.

In some areas this club is leading the way, as someone once said "...the children are the future" (Please don't sing it!! )

We can be proud, Janet and team have(/are) done(/doing) wonderfully.

On behalf of my son, and no doubt hundreds of kids, thank you and well done.

Many people work hard behind the scenes at this football club, tirelessly carrying out largely thankless tasks. In cases like this, I'd like to thank Janet and everyone else for making me continually proud of our club!

So how did that work out then?
