but it's not often that I actually put a name to a player rumoured to be on his way

Eventually, you started that particular thread naming another striker. Name enough and eventually ...

......actually I was only posting on SVs to let everybody know about the post by Twiss_ Fan_Club on the The Football Forum......however, I'm sure everybody is delighted that DC is on his way back for a few weeks by the seaside.

I for one am delighted and will now be heading to the Deva to welcome him back.

Personally i wouldn't mind seeing Danny and Aaron as the front two the combined movement from both of these players would give most defences a hard time, though i fully understand what people are saying about Carroll's ability to hold the ball up.

Anyway it gives us options and most importantly pace.

I'm another in the 'double D' camp, with Aaron coming off the bench. I think they will compliment each other up front.

Whatever, welcome back and great to have some options again!

Personally I think it's a really good move for both parties. Danny, who I like enormously, has learned a great deal at carlisle but needs games. we need a striker with pace. we also need a player that isn't going to take ages settling into the club. A very clever move by the club, sammy and danny. Hopefully everyone will benefit, most of all the team with a sharper front line and being able to give aaron a rest. he's a young lad learning his trade and as far as I can see doing a very good job of it, but he needs time. he wont think that because he's young and keen, but it's easy to burn out if you're not careful. anyway, welcome back danny. left foot strike for thirty yards would do nicely saturday.

Agree about the comments about him playing up front with Diarmuid, but I also remember how well he and Matty Blinkhorn linked up towards the end of out last Conference season until Blackpool recalled Blinks. How injured is he at the moment?

On official site it says that he, Blinks, is going to see a specialist about a stomach muscle problem.

offside, offside, at Wembley, he wasn't offside

Danny, Danny Carlton, he's the greatest striker in history, from the town of Morecambe, scored the best goal at New Wem-ber-lee.

To the Flintstones tune for anyone under the age of 15. That utoobe site should be of assistance.

Welcome back to the fold Danny!

Watching Monsieur Carlton's goal at Wembley (the only thing permanently stored on my Sky+ box) is always going to bring a big, beaming smile to my face... possibly the best memory supporting Morecambe.

Can't wait to get down to the Deva and watch the lads on Saturday.

Just a thought on the 'will he, won't he?' start at Chester debate.
Reading the Carlisle caretaker's comments I'll bet it's part of a gentleman's agreement that Danny WILL play while he's with us. They are allowing him to go on loan to get some games under his belt, not to sit on the bench. I've heard of players being recalled from loan when the 'borrowing' club hans't named the player in the starting line-up.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

I agree, have that song (remix version) blaring out around 5 minutes before kickoff and your sure to have most of the North Stand singing his name! :D

Anyone know if Danny is cup tied, even if he isn't Carlisle may not want him to play for us just in case they need him latter on in the competition.
