Loan striker discussions?

Loan striker discussions?

Postby Christies Child » Sun Nov 09, 2008 11:19 am

Sammy is reported to be having discussions with a loan striker tomorrow according to a certain Twiss_Fan_Club

Could it be Michael Procter who is available at Wrexham?

Yesterday's cup highlights programme mentioned we had twenty players unavailable for the game!

i wouldn't mind Proctor , was very impressed with his performance against us last season up at their ground. scored quite a few in the season too.

Wouldn't have minded Danny C back on loan. Just wonder if the managerial position at Carlisle may be a problem though.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Hope not as we need someone who can score goals. Transfer listed by Wrexham after they got relegated but I will admit he was there top scorer with 12 (11 in the league) last season, however is still on the transfer list and played 7 games this season (but 5 were as a sub) and NOT yet scored :!:
Another reason: he scored for Wrexham against Morecambe in our first ever away league football game in August 2007 resulting in a 2.1 loss for us and again scored for Wrexham in the return fixture at Christie from the spot kick resulting in a final score of 2.2 but it is his current form which is worrying me and how can he be good enough for us but not Wrexham :?:

I'd love to see Danny Carlton back in the fold, his pace and Rene's holding up play would be a joy to behold, mind you he might have to spend time on the bench the way young Taylor's playing ;)

Remember I mentioned this a few weeks ago about DC and was followed by a confirmation from Sammy that he'd spoken to the then Carlisle manager about a loan.

Maybe now is the time for another try?

Carlisle fans seem not too impressed with DC.

Howe, Carlton and Taylor / O'Carrol...now that would be some trio up front.
