I can't see that fee being anywhere close to the value of a young, talented natural goal scorer that would attract a more substancial transfer fee.
This is me looking to the future of my club and I just thought that time,effort and money spent now would secure our clubs' footballer and not give another club the opportunity to approach this developing scorer.
Good strikers are hard to find and I believe that we missed the chance of money for a player that was 'waving goodbye to us' (Thommo) and good luck to him.
Not meant to be a rant its just passion but reading back it seems like it
