POSTER PLEASE !!!!!!!

POSTER PLEASE !!!!!!!

Postby ingleton shrimp » Wed Nov 05, 2008 9:24 pm

Is it too much to ask for a match poster ?

Its a cheap way of trying to get extra bodies and therefore extra revenue into the club especially when this weekend is a cash only affair. Can only see a dip in the attendance this weekend from the odd season ticket holders not wanting to shell out again for a non too atractive draw against Grimsby.
I don't think a small club like ours can afford to miss any opportunity to attract support to home games especially now the glory hunters are drifting away !

May not be too much to ask, but there are ways to ask.

Considering no one is paid to produce these posters, perhaps you could have a go yourself?

Why is no one paid to produce the posters?

There must be someone who works for the club who can put one together?

In the company I work for there isn't a specific person who is paid to design flyers but if we have a product we want to advertise one of us puts together something to send out.

I'd have thought something as simple as a poster advertising the upcomming fixture would be well within the skills and remit of someone already employed by the club. If not then what kind of people are employed there?

Is it too much to ask for a match poster ?

I do think however that there are ways of asking for something and while I agree that it shouldn't be too much to ask for, a bit more tact would have avoided the negetive responses.

Having a bad day Sean? To be fair the NSS effort was great and it was there. Thats why I printed it.

To offer a bit of feedback, is advertising the Shrimpsworld commentry service locally for a home match a bit counter productive when we want fans at the match instead of in front of a PC?

When is the deadline for programme before a match? Going to write an article for the Exeter game if you have space?

no mark...........not at all
not a bad day but fed up of the lack of support from fans with the match programme this season i really am
easier to waste time on here for some people isnt it??
if you had emailed me mark and seen the poster youd see that it was just designed to promote the match thats all just wish id done it sooner to be honest
im trying to get some things down for exeter city game
might be worth asking kirky to get in touch
granted a bit late in the day but im not the clubs media guy and im not as techie wise as some

No problem, its not perfect but then it only took me about 5 mins. I'll do one for each home match well in advance from now on.

Yes you can, it just cost me about £98 inc vat for a credit card sized advert in the three local papers.

How big do you want the advert and how much have you got to spend ? ;)

Great poster - love it.
I have done the last few but I have just been snowed under at work and with the website for a while now.
I will however do some more for the next few games. At the minute there seems to be too few hours in the day.....
