worst official of the season

Has to be today's joker RL Shoebridge.Can anyone think of a more consistent display of bizarre and just wrong decisions?

Fairly disappointed with McStay's vanishing act though - he knew it was him the ref wanted, so why hide? Did he think the ref would forget about it?

Idiotic the ref booked Drummond in the end for it.

Very very weak referee today, some of his decisions had us inventing swear words :lol: never seen such an inept performance from an official since the conference. The RESPECT campaign is a good initiative but until we have ref's who have actually played the game at some stage in their lives we will always have this problem. At the moment it seems to be either gobby patronising teacher types, social workers or as today down right clueless and unsuitables, you can just tell by the way some of them run they have never played competitive sport in their lives :x

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 aaaaand relax :D

Great result though, Saturday tea time felt good for a change :D

I thought he did brilliant in that he managed to be all of the above. Todays type of referee are the ones that really get me. They seem to think that we've paid our £13 or whatever to see him perform.

Ref was truly atrocious - assuming the Drummond booking is overturned as mistaken identity, McStay probably gets off as well, as don't think you can be booked retrospectively?

I think the worst of the Ref was that his only consistency was the alternation of no award for a clear offence and a free kick for nothing at all!

I don't think yellow cards can be appealed.

For me the worst decision he made was when he gave us a freekick instead of playing advantage when we had 3 players against their 2 at the back thus enabling the Shots to get all 11 back when the kick was taken.

It was Jim Bentley who was wrongy booked instead of McStay.

I was talking to Jimbo after the game and he told me that the ref rescinded the card to Drummond in the tunnel and gave it to McStay

I wouldn't say he was the worst this season but he did make a few dodgy calls and his assistants didn't help him much at all. at least he was consistantly bad and both sides benefitted and lost out due the refs decissions unlike some other games where we've bore the brunt of the mistakes and lost points off the back of it.
