Roche

Yates Jimo McStay McGiven

Lloyd Stanley Hunter Curtis

Howe Taylor

I have just realised apart from Wainwright and Lloyd we don't have another winger at the club

If Twiss was fit i would go for :-

Roche

Yates Jimbo McStay McGiven

Hunter Drummond Stanley

Twiss

Howe Taylor

I just hope this new lad can play left back or even right back and put yates on the left

Not a bad idea he is good at getting forward and putting crosses in but then who would you have at right back Parish?

McGivern has played on the left side of defence for Northern Ireland, so assume he will be in Adam's position, with Yates on the other side

If we don't sign anyone else today I think it will be

Roche

Yates McStay Bentley McGivern

Wainwright Drummond Stanley Curtis

Taylor Howe.

Personally I'd have Hunter instead of Wainwright with either Hunter or Stanners on the right of midfield, but Sammy seems to be sticking with Wainer.

McGivern has a bit of pace and, as well as being a good defender, has been known to get forward, putting in crosses and joining in effectively for set-pieces. If that signing really works well it could, and I know I'm being hugely optimistic here, put a very different perspective on the next few games.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Yes two fullbacks that can get up the pitch and put crosses in that will be a first in a long time. Just what we need to add a different outlet to our play.

Lee Dixon did a great column on the BBC site the other week about fullback play and basically everything he said good fullback play was about we didn't do.

Just watch Sammy go and drop yates tomorrow.

Its an interesting signing and whilst a young defender with pace and quality he could give Sammy different tactical options from the one youre going with
Its in the centre of defence where there have been one or two flaws and also protection from midfield in th elast two away games.
Sammy could make a bold move and go for three in the heart of defence which we havent seen too often with his teams
Adams could be accommodated in the heart of defence and possibly allow Yates and McGivern to work as wing backs(two lads with pace) and the knock on effect is to take out the wide men and look to play to feet and squeeze play and hopefully keep more possession I'd still look to keep two upfront who will come and get the ball and who have pace when needed(Howe and Taylor)....Just a thought.......

__________Roche___________

With McGivern and Yates pushing forward to give us some width and more attacking options.

Ours should be

---------Anyon---------
Stockley--Collins--Prosser--McCory
Richman----Howland---Griffith---
-----------Dodds----------
---Rodgers-----Richards----

We have got Dave Brammer training with us at the moment and he is going to join on loan but i dont think it will be in time for tomorrows game. if it is he will be in the midfield

By all accounts, a seizable proportion of your crowd will be booing Anyon for coming on the pitch and the rest of your team if you aren't winning after 8 minutes, is that right?

I'm hoping we get at you straight from the start and get your fans on your team's backs!

Its in the centre of defence where there have been one or two flaws and also protection from midfield in th elast two away games.

I think the main of the problems in the middle of the defence have been caused by the central defenders being dragged out wide as cover for the poor wide defenders. Although we are showing a lack of pace at the back. Things will improve in this department as yatesy gets "more match fit" and the introduction of the new lad.

You're right, Adams has been one of our more consistent players since arriving at the club. That in itself though is not a reason to include a player in the team and Danny has been struggling of late. If a more reliable option is available, then that option should be taken.
