Her Indoors and Morecambe World.

Her Indoors and Morecambe World.

Postby Aspers » Mon Oct 20, 2008 9:04 am

It's my 18th wedding anniv on Wednesday.
Tradition has it I go to the fish markets about 5 ish, get some fresh prawns and caviar,
bottle of bubbly and wake her with breakfast and flowers.
Unfortunately Morecambe World is on at 5.30 am wed, what to do?.

I was never that fond of Caviar anyway. 8-)

Go get the food & drink at 5, rush back and let her have an anniversary lie in while you listen to the match then serve breakfast.

There's a common issue developing here. You want a simple answer? Divorce or just don't pop the question in the 1st place :lol:

I have little sympathy for those that get married during the football season.* You should be clever like me and arrange it for July. Except I was'nt particularly clever, because it was a World Cup year, cue lots of horrible visions of half the wedding party (me included) getting up half way through Prawn cocktails to go and watch England v Germany in the pub next door, as it happened I got very lucky and ended up with the rest day between quarter and semi finals.

*Most will have heard it, but I make little apology, for it must surely be the best Bill Shankly quote;

Reporter: "Bill is it true you took your wife to see Rochdale on your wedding anniverary?"

Shankly: "No of course it's not true, do you think I'd get married during the football season? It was her birthday and it was'nt Rochdale it was Rochdale reserves"

Out of interest is it only possible to get commentary from the morecambe commentators on morecambe world?

I'm having a listen on my friends Aston Villa world as a bit of a taster and there's no option for morecambe commentary.
