Surfing ebay look what I found.

About 6 weeks ago we had a game with not much other football going on in the North West. Two guys came down early, not to go into the match but to gather autographs. They each had 2 large bags stuffed full of programmes and books. They were specifically after Sammy & Mark to sign stuff, like the programme Aspers has found. Not to re-sell but that was their hobby, collecting autographs. They also had a book of about 25,000 players names and as each of our players came in they signed over their name in the book. Amazing guys and an amazing collection of programmes.

In the press box on a regular basis there's an ex Watford & Blackpool player. When he appeared, I told these guys about him and not only did they get their book out for him to sign but they even had his souvenir testimonial programme buried in their bags which he signed.

And where were Morecambe at this time?
We ended this season 20th out of a league of 22 in the Northern Premier, winning 9 out of 42 games but we never finished that low ever again. It was a very slow onward+upward.
