Any recommendations as to a decent place to eat before home games? i have tried the shrimp carvery and one or two chippys all recommendations will be tried out next season

Susan's Pies Ohh Man..My pre match is to park at he ground wander up to Susan's get me a pie
and Saunter up to the York..Just enough distance to do the pie justice ..Then a couple of pints and several fags on Mick's al fresco "Sky lounge" "Perfik"

Casanova, where Charbonards used to be by the side of the Pier Hotel is an awesome Italian Restaurant.

Only open in the evenings so if you plan to stay a little later, that's the place for you.

Unfortunately my pre-match is legging it from work on Shore Rd, next to Heysham port for the bus to Crusty Pie, getting in with about 3 minutes spare!
Working every 2nd Saturday, the joy of shift-work!
Still, boss lets me take afternoons holiday for footy as long as I cover when he needs it.
Miss them Susans Pies though!!!!!!!!

Can't miss it head for the prom, big white building near the water.

Just this afternoon, spotted the sign in the window of the new Curry Leaf on the corner of Marine Road and Northumberland Street:

Saturdays (and Sundays), noon until 5pm - Indian buffet, eat as much as you can for £8.95 (kids £4.95), choice of 10 different dishes. And it's licensed.

Looks like the Rusholme (Stalybridge, Droylsden, Altrincham etc) or Bradford (Emley, Guiseley, Frickley or anything else ending in 'ley')-style pre-match curry trips could be back on again!

Great do last night thanx Mick. The American theme went down really well with your barbecue and a couple of bottles of wine (hic) Got shot by the Sheriff twice but Boss Hogg rescued me in the end Great stuff looking 4ward to the next one
