An Interesting Run of Fixtures for the rest of October

Port Vale (A) Won 1 at home lost 4, conceded 11 goals
Accrington (H) Terrible away record

Could happily be looking at 10+ points from those 5 which should see us in the top 10. 8 will see mid table obscurity assured as the diggers move in to Westgate, and any less we'll be watching that Bournemouth and Luton continue their average starts to the season and hope our head start keeps us above the drop zone!

The squad seems to have been added to very well. Howe's been excellent and the fullbacks have seemed capable, if not brilliant. A winger is needed yes, but we really could do with more leaders in the team. Bentley does count for 3 or 4 leaders, granted, but in the middle of the park I'd love to see us sign someone who just destroys people, and then passes it 10 yards to someone who can play football. A poor mans Gennaro Gattuso if you will. Any ideas on who we maybe able to pick up from the lower divisions or higher divisions that are "on the wane"

I think your being very optimistic, but I would love to see that run of results and it would put us in a position not too dissimilar to this time last year. (By end of Oct last yr Played 13, Points 17 / This yr Played 14, Points 19)Question is will the crowds come back? (3651 at home to Rochdale last yr !) - I hope so.

We certainly need it, as 2000 a week will not run our club, simple as. We've not played a side at home with a decent away following yet, so that should change.

1 win in the last 20 games is slightly skewed by the fact we gave up after we got a point against Wrexham at home last season, and Grimsby aside this season, we've played very useful sides, hence the run of draws. This side is certainly no worse (other than the GK, but he'll do and there's nothing you can do about following an England GK) than last season, in fact it's even got a 20 goal a season striker!

Its the away form where they are struggling. I would love us to win but they must be the favourites at their place but I see yet another draw on the cards .

I will go for 5 points not sure which games we will get them from as were so unpredictable we will probably loose to accy and beat Brentford or something daft, but my best guess would be:-

Gills - Loose
Rochdale - another hard fought draw
Brentford - Loose
Port Vale -Draw
Accy - Home win

Thats half the points from your first post. . I dont think Danny Adams has fully recovered from his virus , Diet yet and he has nowhere near the pace of Parrish who is doing ok apart from he can't cross with his left foot. I would like to see Yates on other side , who goes forward a lot more and more composed when under pressure. Any more than 5 points on our current form will be a bonus.

I love the optimism, but I think P/T Indie is more or less right. Realistically, 5-7 points sounds about right (possibly 2 wins and a draw but more likely 1 win and 2 draws). I doubt we'll get anything from the Gills or Brentford. Rochdale do seem to be struggling without Perkins but I see a draw from that one. The best chance of a win is against Accy.
