Alfredo's is good, or try Frankie and Bennie's.

Steak and kebab house by waterstones in lancaster is top draw. Rumor has it that the queen has her t-bones flown straight to buckingham from there!

It's Kabab and Steak actually (I've never known why it's Kabab not Kebab). Sadly I understand it's closing down in the next couple of weeks. Hope it's not true.

As much as I love the Midland the food, whilst good, is very expensive. It's also impossible to get a table at weekends because they reserve for guests only.

Not if you book yourself. You can also go in the other bar/restaurant and get very good grub in there too.

I've heard the Dog & Partridge do cookie dough mountain. Can anybody confirm this?

Slyne Lodge does decent food (English crub); Lamb Jennings is nice.
As does the Royal in BLS; sold out of steak at the weekend just gone, Fish & Chips there is top-notch.

Not a fan of the Keys, never really shaken off the beefeater/little chief tag. Nice inside though, plus they have Copper Dragon on cask. Ticks a box.

Bistro 26, on Sun street L/C. was V.Good. Went thursday night, party of 12. All served at the same time.....and hot. Superb! £30 per head, 3 courses including numerous bottles of Wine and Beer and bottled water etc; Well worth it. Service was excellent too.
I still believe!

The original Steak & Kebab house got burned down, Great place it was too! It then had a short spell on Morecambe Street in the old Gas showroom before Moving to its current position within what was the Lancaster Model Shop?

Always remember Normans (think that was his name?) secret recipe hot sauce you poured over your Lamb Or Beef kebabs...............mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Delicious!!!
