Dear All

Just a reminder that the "Sounds of the Sixties" event in aid of the British Heart Foundation and in honour of the late Ken Parker will be taking place on sunday 29th May at the Globe Arena. The event will feature Solid Silver, DJ and maybe a bit of Karaoke.

Tickets are just £5 and can be purchased from the club shop, reception or you can pay on the door. doors open at 6pm, with a 7pm start. for further details you can call 01524 411797

would be great to see a good turnout for such a good cause in honour of our old friend uncle ken. Tell your friends, in fact bring your friends for a really good evening of entertainment.

Yes, Saturday 4th June. Still time to book I would think but check first. Prices from 295+VAT to include 4 people having 3 course, entertainment and a draw ticket for the chance of winning various goodies. 595 for table of 10 with extra draw tickets.

Thought you would have been aware of that, Sam, being on the F.C.M Committee. It also had a full page Ad in the match programme. Should be a good weekend with Drummy's golf do on the 5th.

Just bringing this to eveyone's attention again. Peter Howard has worked hard on this event to raise money in Ken's memory for the British Heart Foundation. Admission is only £5.00 (notes only please as they were KP's favourite demonination!). Great local band Solid Silver & it should be a super night. Please try to support this event, raising money for a good cause in KP's name and enjoying a good night out with the Morecambe family. RT :geek:

Thanks to Duffman for the suggestion of an on-line donation facility directly to the British Heart Foundation. Follow the link http://original.justgiving.com/taylorhoward and donate directly in KP's memory. This facility is on-line for the next month. Peter Howard & I will update you with the total raised in due course. Thanks in advance. RT.

While we're all in a bank holiday type mood, do remember it's the Sounds of the Sixties event tomorrow evening. If you remember the songs first time, then brilliant, if you're too young don't worry someone has bound to have done a cover version since, so it will be an evening of all your favourites.

The more people who turn up, the more we make for a wonderful cause. you might even get to see me do a bit of dad dancing.

many thanks and look forward to seeing everyone there.

Anyone know what people will be wearing for this? Collar and tie job, or jeans & t-shirt OK?

There will be a mixture I would suspect. I am sure if you come in with a fiver in your hand you will be made very welcome whatever you wear :o

Remember it is a respectful evening on memory of Ken. He could have worn his suit and tie or his leather jacket.

There is no dress code on the ticket!

Having agreed to DJ, I am now spending a panicky afternoon putting together 2 x 1 hour sets of 60's music  .

The upside is that Solid Silver are pretty good and they are on for 2 x 1 hour sets also :D .

Get yourselves down for a fun evening and all for a great cause that Uncle Ken would be proud to help.
