It was mentioned last night there would be the single game on the Tuesday. Perhaps it could be Queen of the South as we played them a few years ago at CP and paid for Sean O'Connor's medical bills for 2 years.

Was close with Dunfermline, so Raith Rovers on July 12th it is. Looking forward to it
I think the 4 days looks like a bonding session for the players. I can imagine they will be nipping up the road for a quick round of golf

There is a tournament arranged up there for the weekend after on July 16th/17th where Raith will be in the hat against East Fife, Dundee and the Shrimpers from Southend.

I can recommend an excellent B&B in S Queensferry, 20 miles away from Raith Rovers.. Bus stop a minute away and train station about 10 mins away walking with regular trains into Edinburgh should the other half decide to spend your money instead of watching football. Only downside is breakfast times, 8-9 at weekends.

Direct trains from S Queensferry (Dalmeny) to Kirkcaldy. It's got me thinking about another trip up there especially if it can be timed with a team meeting with a colleague in Dalmeny

Some nice, old pubs in the village and we found everyone friendly, even sat between Motherwell and Celtic fans on cup final day.

You're not wrong there! A quick look earlier and I was struggling to find hotels under £80.

3hrs 9 minutes if you go on the train from Lancaster 12/7, with just the one stop in Edinburgh. Singles from £64, however if you buy a family railcard ( £26 I think - could be very useful next season) and catch the 11:14 then the price is only £24

You'll get there OK on the train but if you stay to the end then you'll be back in Lancaster at 05:39 Wednesday after a 5 hour train ride to Preston and an hour's sleep on Preston station before a train back to Lancaster.
