Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

All the true believers will go to heaven and then the following six months, the planet will rip itself apart. This has really upset me, I was planning to buy a new BBQ with the hope of a good summer but there's no point now.

I love the 'entrepreneur' who has taken payments to look after the group's dogs when they are 'raptured'. He's charging about 80 quid each and has had 250 customers so far:

BBC News wrote:They would be disappointed twice, he told the Wall Street Journal. "Once because they weren't raptured and again because I don't do refunds."

He's already made over 20k... brilliant!

I'm a Christian, but this takes the biscuit really. He made a similar claim that this would happen in 1994.The atheist group have got it spot on by calling it the 'countdown to backpedalling'. I get the feeling that next week Mr Camping will have a basket-full of egg on his face. It's another example of people trying to read things into literature to suit what they want, rather than what the literature says.

Well, actually, if one doesn't accept the Bible as absolute truth, and cherry-picks examples to suit one's own belief system (as the majority of Christians today do, because to not do so is to acknowledge a large degree of hideousness in the texts) then that is, in a sense, rejecting the word of god and thus making it fallible. If the word of god isn't infallible then the whole thing simply falls apart anyway.....but we probably shouldn't get into that.

I just hope there isn't some kind of 'Jonestown' event where it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. There are groups all over the place who are meeting up especially for 'the event', not just in the USA.

Bit of a bummer that, I was gonna go and see Pirates of the Caribbean 4 tomorrow. That messes that one up. Ah well, looks like death and an eternity of my soul being tortured in the depths of hell for me then!

A loop of watching last season, over and over and over... we'll get to the 365,672,588th time of watching last season and during our eternal hell, we'll be saying...

Actually it was written by many different people over many generations.

It is a collection of writing/songs collated by the Catholic church.

The same church that in 1616 put Galileo under house arrest after he said the Earth revolved around the Sun - going against what they wanted. It's ok though he was eventually pardoned - 1992 :!:

It's been dark, cold & raining here. I started to get worried but then remembered, it's May and I'm on the Isle of Man, it's always dark, cold & raining...

Is this Jesus bloke going to be taking them believers as per time zones or will he only be taking USA folk? Did he find anyone christian enough to take from Australia before the date tripped over?

I was quite upset that I'd spent time worrying about this. But then I thought 'cheer up, it's not the end of the world'...

I just wonder how many blokes used it as a chat-up line? 'Come on, love, the world might end tomorrow!'
