bit arsy that shrimpsave, a single person on benefits is entitled to 400 a month in housing costs and the pictures look like the landlord is putting in a good effort.

If we accepted your offer, not only would we be lowering the tone of the area but the average IQ would fall too!

Okay, that should be "new flooring throughout"!

To prove there are some carpets...

You have a PM. Not too keen on advertising its exact location openly.

Bloody time-wasters

Bloke comes to view house with mother-in-law. He loves it, yes, definitely want it. Agree a date for them to move in after giving notice etc. Gets towards moving in date, not heard from them. Try phoning, no answer. Sent texts... no answers. Moving in day comes & goes. Finally get hold of him... "oh, I'm very sorry, my wife decided she didn't want to move to Lancaster because she wants to stay near to her mum in Morecambe". Here's a thought, don't view houses in Lancaster then! And here's another thought, when you've changed your mind, send a text that says "sorry, changed our mind, don't want to rent your house".

So if anyone does want to rent a house in Skerton, even if their mum lives in Morecambe, drop me an e-mail keith.fitton[at]manx.net

Welcome to the real world of "buying and selling". If I had a pound for everyone who has done similar, or simply promised to do something I could afford a Life Season ticket!

Every Month!!

Better luck next time! ;)

Here's another! Take a deposit! It doesnt have to be the full amount but it sorts out the timewasters.

Peter, you are clearly a criminal in the Witness protection scheme.

Either that or you upset everyone wherever you go and they pay for you to move on!

Nah, just keeping one step ahead of Interpol.
A good thing about moving around so much is that it encourages us to maintain a tidy home. No crap anywhere, if something hasn't got a meaning or a happy memory, or we don't use it then it gets binned.

My last countersigning Officer in the FCO wrote "...were it not for Peter's rustier manifestations...".
And fortunately a lot of our moves were paid for either by the RN or FCO.
