Yes he tweeted he was starting his badges this summer. Could be an idea for the club to support him with a coaching role.

yes, that may swing it, keeping him on for his value off the field as much as on it?

Gutted, but I think this is the right decision. It also shows that Jimbo is putting his foot down so to speak. No favorites.

Makes me think back to that Tuesday night game against Brentord, Wainwright tore them apart and we won 2-0, which I think started off our 12 game unbeaten streak!

judging from Neil's "Twitter" it looks like he's only been released this morning so Jim does work on Sundays :-

Well, what a very dignified person Neil Wainwright is. In spite of being very upset, naturally, he is wishing Morecambe all the best.

A top class professional and I really hope he settles down with a new club soon and has a great season.

Thanks Neil for the past 3 years.

I hoped we'd give him another year. Bit unfortunate last season with injurys etc but i agree with Sammy H. Shows Jimbo is stamping down some authority and not letting his heart rule his head, so to speak. I do believe he's still alot to offer, hopefully he'll get snapped up.

Thanks and good luck Neil.

I still think that you were our best attacking player in the 08/09 season. Shame you couldn't stay on here, playing and coaching :(

Correct decision in my view. Been injury prone in 2 of the 3 seasons he's been with us. One of a number of players we have to look beyond to have any hope of progressing. Good luck to him.

Is this official?

I'm surprised about CW if true.

However Jimbo has played in the same team this past season so he's made a judgement based on what he's seen.

Hope he gets fixed up soon with a new club.

He just bought a house and moved over to Morecambe last summer even though he only signed for a year, that shows some comitment.
