New broom...

New broom...

Postby Freez » Fri May 13, 2011 6:57 pm

Who would have thought Friday the 13th could be so good? There is a buzz on here, and apparently at the club, perhaps nice to re-iterate the positive message posted earlier by Mark S. The majority of fans on here wanted Jim to lead us, so let's unite behind him and put aside pettiness and squabbling and return to that spirit we had at Preston, at Wolves, at Sheffield Utd but most proudly of all at Dagenham, when we outsung and outshouted ten times the number. It was definitely our finest hour off the pitch, when it wasn't going our way we carried on, relentless, noisy, witty and fair.
Jim's tenure will include plenty of ups and downs, but we all know there will be no prouder man leading us all, hopefully to good times.
Today is a good day, the smile is back on MFC's face. Dare to dream.

Mark S played a version of this song linked below when we played Barnet in our first league game, it brought a massive tear or two to my eye that day, as I'm sure it did many others. It was inspired thinking from Mark S that day, I think its very apt today.

If only there was a more powerfull shorter version then it could well become a match day anthem.....or is that a bit too cheesey?

A definite contender for a matchday anthem, I would have said.

One the fans can join in with too quite easily. Good suggestion.

And, The Farm were also a band from .... Liverpool !! ;) :geek:
