I'm surprised that bunch of inbreds over at the dingledome have the collective intelligence to operate a computer, usually too busy eating bananas with their feet and fornicating with family members.

This would be a fantastic appointment for us, he would, i am sure, embrace jim bentley, add class and leadership on and off the pitch, headbutt CC if he was getting on his wick,(joke neil) wages will be an issue though, hope not, he would be a massive step forward for us.

I dont see what he could give us.No managerial experience and hardly done any coaching this season.Hasnt completed his eufa badge yet.I would rather see jimbo get the job.I think he would re-unite everybody at the globe.

Jim is a great bloke and a morecambe legend, one for the future though if you ask me,GA played at a high level for a lot of years, he has been helping coach at burnley for 2 years and his contacts regarding loans and signing will be vast, not forgetting he was still playing top level football last season, and wants to carry on playing, i think he might just get in our team.

It was an early board meeting today.

The Chairman's car was in the car park by 8-30 and I saw Rod Taylor heading for the offices with a clipboard :)

Always sounds such a nice guy does Graham Alexander when I hear him on Radio Lancs.

He'd be a great choice, with, Jim as his number two.

Would hope he would be a Player Manager too. AWESOME penalty kick record.

PNE fans I know are convinced he's going back there as Brown's #2.

Maybe we will know by 5pm tonight?

Can't see that Lloydie tbh.

Phil Brown and Brian Horton always seem to come as a package.

Still, stranger things have happened !! Alexander is still hero worshipped at PNE.

I think Graham Alexander's got a tough decision to make. He can stay on at Burnley and build up his coaching, leave for Preston where he could play another season, or begin hi Managerial career (and probably play another season) at Morecambe with the view to build us up and move on to bigger and better things.

I for one would love to see him do the latter, as I think it would be great first foot on the ladder for him. I agree whole heartedly with Sean, It would certainly excite us all ready for the new season if we managed to pull it off. My fingers are firmly crossed!

Surely he'd offer anything Jim can plus more, as he's played higher and had better experience of better coaching.....

At Preston, Alexander may also be offered more coaching - perhaps in charge of the youth set-up.

I suppose it depends how soon he wants to become a manager in his own right and what packages are offered to him.
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

I'm not 100% sure on GA, sure I would prefer him to an old timer who changes club every couple of years he will be keen to impress and make a name for himself, but we know first hand Jimbo's experience with the reserves and helping the youngsters where as how much coaching has GA actually done and do we kow if it's any good?

My only doubt about Jimbo is his contacts does he have any and how will he sign players so I can see the argument for GA in that context.

For me if your going for a rookie it has to be Jimbo if GA got it over Jimbo I would love to know the reason given to Jimbo for not getting the job.

Where as if it was a more experienced man and Jimbo as number 2 then you would understand it.
