'What are they thinking of!!! Mcilroy was successful at Macclesfield with a team that Harry Wrag had assembled. As soon as he had to start constructing a team under his own steam, he was a disaster. He was well out of his depth when he was at Northern Ireland. He took over a successful team at Morecambe with the same results as he had at Macclesfield. I don't have to remind you what he was like at Stockport,it was painful.'
