Clue in the report as to why?

The need to build a TEAM not a SQUAD.

That suggests to me that Sammy wanted even more money to re-build a squad.

The playing budget will be reduced so maybe a conflict of interests but no falling out.

Give over CC! Speculating over nothing. Sammy was offered a new 2 year deal so there was no conflict of interest - just that he thought it was the right time to move on.

Speculation or fact?

Doubt we'll never know.

Personally I very much doubt it.

However, reduced budget is a fact as it was confirmed at the recent Shareholders AGM.

Well that's from Mark Lillis' daughter on twitter, but you're quite happy to start lots of speculation yourself, so I'm happy to throw some back at you.

It's a Shrimps Special. Probably 18.03 to 18.12, then 18.22 to 18.29, then 18.40 to 18.47 and a goodbye from Baz and Quinny at 18.58... times approximate of course

You actually are a prized clown arent you? Bring back JH just for you Neil, or maybe the main stand that you slouched on for many years at Christie Park. Afterall it cant be true, unless CC spouts it........

I'm not sure a twittering from a visibly upset daughter of the exiting assistant manager can be taken as a factual account of whether someone was offered a deal or not. Wouldn't be unheard of for someone hurt by something to bend truths to save face now would it.

I haven't suggested it was a fact, just that if CC is prepared to start speculative crap like he has then I am quite happy to throw some back at him - except, it has more substance than his rubbish anyway.

18.08 Freez appeared as well.
Baz gutted and saddened. Fantastic people behind the scenes. Players ringing round to find out who next. Players and fans last to know.
Worst kept secret. Message Boards quite cruel, although 2 threads are complimentary. End of a glorious era. Nice new ground and managerless

Freez you are now logged on here. Concentrate on your interview please!

Baz has said that Jimbo has the confidence of the players and would be his choice.

Demands respect and would have no problems stepping up.

the sensible thing for the club to do is announce Jim Bentley caretaker manager in the meantime as he is still a employee and now senior coach of MFC especially with Kevan Hurst being released today and more to follow out of contract

allowing the club take there time making the decision of the next manager not rushing into things(panic buying)

Someone called Darren suggested Jim with a Director of Football alongside, I don't know how many votes he would expect to agree with him 8-)

Who was JH's assistant? Did he have one I have completely forgot. I can't even remember who took over the Cambridge game.

Was it Andy Mutch? Think he left before that though and Steve Mcilhargey (sp) took the Cambridge game?

And Dave Jones?

One of JH's complaints post sacking was that he didn't have an assistant in his final season.
