Like Alan Buckley, Kevin Dillon, Jim Gannon, Mick Harford, Jim Magilton, Ronnie Moore, Mike Newell, Steve Parkin, Phil Parkinson, Dave Penney, Gary Peters, Andy Ritchie, Paul Simpson, Mark Stimson, Chris Sutton, Peter Taylor, Colin Todd or Paul Trollope?

Ok, not all of them, and some may be definite no no's, but a couple surely?!!!
HOWAY THE SHRIMPS!!!!!

On topic(ish) and proud!

Trollope would do nicley I have mentioned him before has experience of getting a team out of this league.

Apart from him I would avoid most of the names on that list most have been average at best and seem to be for ever on and off the merygoround.

Ockers does Jim Magilton still have a house in Southport ;)

very good shout that!! he seems a decent bloke loads of coaching experience and no doubt still good contacts in the modern game

he seems the the type of bloke who would just be grateful for work and to be back involved in football he is still very well thought of in Sunderland

He would also have decent contacts for getting young players down to our club from the north eastand would also be a good mentor for Jim.

Dave Penney builds good relationships with his players.

How about Jim Magilton? We must have left him with a good impression in January 2001.
