Tribute to Jimbo!

I don't think Jimbo is going anywhere for the time being. I would expect him to continue to work in his present role next season and there's no reason why we wouldn't continue to register him as a player whilst he's at the club in some capacity.

He's going nowhere for the time being. His future as a player is probably up to him but there can be no doubt about the fact he'll continue his work with the reserves for quite some time.

Well done big fella, deserved m.o.m. and with should be a new contract offer for next season. To come back into the side and produce a performance like that was incredible.I know you were a little worried that you might let the fans down not having played at league 2 level for a while but it was as if you hadnt been away. There should be a new film brought out.Showing my age now Carry on Jimbo.

I think he'll be itching to get the top job if Sammy is to go. Otherwise I think it'll be roll on next season in the same capacity.

A true Morecambe legend. A hero. A gentleman. Our Jimbo!

so it looks like Sammy has gone, give Jimbo the job and it will be the first time in 3 years that ALL THE FANS are 100% behind the manager and team

I agree entirely mate.

Am always a bit sceptical in playing hero's taking over as managers, just in case it DOES ever go wrong for them and fans get on their backs.

Can only see Jim being a success though, personally.

I'd be quite surprised if Jimbo was given the managers job. Actually, if Sammy has gone (which is all but a formality IMO) then I'd be concerned about Jimbo's tenure at the club coming to an end. A new manager might what to bring in his own backroom staff.

IF a new manager comes in and IF he was giving our Jim the boot, whoever it may be Ancellottii, Ferguson, Dalgleish, Wenger, Mourinho or Sven :o I predict he would not get near the Globe to park his shiny new Merc. The 11000 from Wembley would stop him interfering with our Bentley!!

Everybody at the club thinks the world of Jimbo, You know one things for certain and that's the players under him would be told in no uncertain terms if they didn't reach the required standard
Plus win or lose most of the stayaways (myself included) would return just to see some passion and life return aswell as to swell the club coffers
