Thought this would be a good time for my 1st post of the season....

Sammys attitude today was disgusting. After going 2-0 down, a manager should be stood on the sideline getting behind HIS players, looking for ways to turn it round... What does Mr Mcllroy do? Spits his dummy out, and spends the rest of the game sitting on a drinks cooler, with his bottom lip resting on his feet. Not even an ounce of excitement when we pulled one back, just continued to sit there. If 1500 Morecambe fans, PAYING to watch the game can make some noise and get behind the lads for the rest of the game, then why the hell can the manager, getting PAID to manage not get on his feet and gee them up to find an equaliser? It's no wonder he can't get the best out of the players with such a shit attitude.

I've not managed to get to many games this season (luckily), but those that I have attended, we have been nothing short of dreadful in every single game. Today was, not surprisingly, exactly the same. I'd have thought that after a 7-2 drubbing last week, that Sammy would have got the lads fired up to send the fans home with a little smile, after what has been a terrible season. Did he get them fired up? Didn't look like it. The football was what I'd probably expect to see from fat, 40ish pub players hungover from the night before. Only a small number of players today seemingly gave a shite.

Yes, he has got us to the Football League but if he is in charge next season he will also see us drop out of it. Time for a change, and hopefully some attractive, effective football to go with it.

Unfortunately the man at the top who decides such things appears to think otherwise.
Sad really after all that he's done for his club but on this subject I feel he's got it wrong.

After reading a few posts about the way sammy conducts himself on the touchline, i have started to take a passing interest.

I too noticed sammy sat on the drinks box and looking pretty lost if you ask me. I watched as he and mark lillis were talking "tactics" and sammy was just throwing his arms as if to say he didnt know what to do next.

I saw a bit of the palace-forest game earlier on and saw Billy Davies urging his team on! Vains popping out of his neck and a look of total determination on his face! We are crying out for a bit of that kind of passion, leadership and 100% effort!

I also agree with Dannys comments and i sure another 1500 do so aswell!

Our Chairman gave an outstanding speech tonight, very rousing. His heart is very much in our Club and an announcement will me made very shortly I suspect. Jimbo was awesome as usual. Baz got players player of season, Paz won sv's. Scott got goal of season v Aldershot as I predicted and banged on about for ever!

Both Sammy and Mark made speeches, I think there will be an statement from the club within the next week.

Yes Sammy spoke, as did Mark being careful not to swear! Both spoke of the last 5 successful years. Was amusing having a couple of friendly Cobblers into the bargain

Yes I might have had something to do with that, met them in the york last year, they were tapping up all our players by the end of the night! Good laugh with Gary Johnson after the game aswell. :P

Yes Chris. Marky was probably a bit tired and emotional by the time of our presentation!
