just been on the Radio Lancashire Sports News.

Sammy had a meeting with the Chairman yesterday at which he gave Mr McGuiggan a list of transfer targets.

In one respect I hope it is. I'm no fan of Sammy's, but at least if he stays, Pobble might take his bat n ball home and stop coming to Morecambe all together

It's well documented that I'm not a fan of our manager. However I will continue to support our club WHOEVER is in charge even if it appears that will be SMc. Unlike others who have said that as long as SMc remains in charge that they will not attend games, I can see no logic in that other than hurting the club that they support.

A new season starts in August.

Maybe a time for me and others of similar belief to give the manager our support?

it will probably work for Sammy he wont be able to tinker as much every week, thus creating a settled team and close knit team spirit whats been lacking all season long.

[quote="Christies Child"] I can see no logic in that other than hurting the club that they support.

A new season starts in August.

The logic is though, they would NOT be supporting the club anymore at the expense of a Manager with little backing by the fans. I'm afraid people react in different ways.
I still believe!

It would be interesting and possibly beneficial to Sammy to identify the players that he has targeted in the past and failed to get. He has come in for a lot of criticism regarding signings but it has been well documented that more often than not that he doesn't get his original targets.

Obviously he cant make it public who he is after at the moment but after the season has started then i cant see what harm it would do.

Maybe the club needs to be hurt.

i honestly do think people will still turn up next season as normal after a summer break in every sense

however if we dont get off to a good start and things appear that Sammy hasn't learned from mistakes and where all repeating ourselves on here again then fans will quickly turn and attendances will drop

No you won't, and don't. You give him abuse during a match how is that support.

So your basically a donator, you donate money to the club and watch but don't support?
If you support the club, you support every aspect of it.....especially one as important as the manager.

Some comment to make that is.....................................Be thankful Neil and alot of the other fans see beyond that otherwise you and Sammy would make up 90% of the total fanbase.
Why anyone puts up with something they don't like is beyond me, People can make up their own minds if they do or don't and how they spend their hard earned, You have no say in the matter!

Having just listened to Mark Lillis' interview on The Bay, I wouldn't be so sure about "Carry on Sammy". I honestly thought they both had another year on their contracts but seemingly that isn't the case. Also sounds like he's not sure just yet about his and Sammy's futures. No excuse not to get rid if their contracts are up. Incidentally, Mark Lillis, you're fooling no one. Nice fighting talk about how wonderful it is to still be a league club but maybe I ought to remind you that we finished below a number of sides who have far less resources than we do. You've failed this season. Just admit it.

Did Lillis claim this season was a success? The only positive this season is that we are still in the league, nobody denies that its been a failure, just as Jimbo said himself in his man of the match speech.

On Monday he'll be taking calls from agents!

Sod bloody agents Mark. We've been stung by agents year after year.
