Statue

With the space just infornt of the ground, i was having a think whether we could have a statue of one of our greats like Blackburn do with Jack Walker. The question is...which icon would you choose? Jimbo? Peter McGuigan?mThere are loads but who would you give that honour to?

J.B Christie?

Talking about that land at the front of the ground while it's not being used could we not level it off and put some grass on it or something it's not really a good first impression people get when coming to the Globe for the first time.

Fantastic suggestion for the statue! Ive heard that soon they are flatening it and putting a small hotel and a fast food chain on either side. By where the statue is, i meant where that lil red sign is that does'nt really need to be there!

Is that still going ahead? There was meant to be a fast food place and hotel going there a year ago. Finally the hideous mounds can go. Can the bars be painted red too!!

Do we have a legend that is greater than any other legend? A lot of players have had a good career with Morecambe, staying over a decade, but it would be difficult to name just one to have a statue.

Rod Taylor when he passes away. :|

statues of all who shall never be forgotten...

3 I can think of

Mr Christie
Mr Hollings
Mr Parker

all of which have sadly passed away but equally, did a lot for the club.

No offence, but statues are normally, granted not always, erected when people have passed away. I don't think a Jimbo statue is really appropriate !! Anyway, his big fat head would block out the sun !!

"A dummy against a defence playing like dummies"

"never really in it"

"thumbs down at the other end" (in defence)

"half time usually presents a time to regroup but whatever the boss Sammy McIlroy said at the interval it fell on deaf ears because the statuesque Shrimps still couldn't get a tackle in"

"With 2 hat tricks in one game there's an arguement over the match ball as to which of Port Vales strikers would get it"
