Accoring to Granada Reports tonight, Prestons defeat last night was "The first time Preston have been beaten at home on a Tuesday night for seven years"

Shorely Shum Mishtake? :?

Shall we let them know? :D

First time on here .
the facts are we were unbeaten on a tuesday night for seven years. In the league that is until last night when the better team won .But all good things come to an end .

The league cup is a different matter as we seem to lose against lower league teams no matter what day it is . But in most cases they deserve to win .Which includes Morecambe who were by far the better side that night.

Any way all the best for the season ahead .

Whoops!

Just got this back from Granada after asking them to put the record straight.

Mark

We would if it was us.

I suggest you email Tony Livesey at North West Tonight and tell him to get his facts right!

That’s what you get from the BBC!

Cheers

Oops! All very embarrassing

Should have known it was the BBC!

Well it was an easy mistake.

I saw Gordon Burns chatting to this Livesey bloke, thought of the Krypton Factor which was ITV and assumed it was Granada Reports.

Easy mistake I tell you. :D

So, is everyone watching North West Tonight to see if we get a mention for beating Preston? ;)

That is the funniest thing I have read in a while! I wonder if many others followed suit and emailed Granada. Would explain the straight to the point email you got back Mark. If only they had added "do you have nothing better to do" to the reply.

To be fair, I did have an option just to say nothing and nobody would have been any the wiser.

In the interests of fairness to Granada and the chance to bring a little light into Keith's dark world, I thought I would share with you what a twonk I am.

As if you didnt know already! :?

Best thread for a long time.

So time to relive the moment that Tony Livesey gets taken to task by Statto Swindlehurst just in case you missed it.

Then go to 12 minutes and 27 seconds. Should be up for this evening and tonight (Friday) at least.

Glad to be of entertainment!

Hats off to Tony Livesey "Mark, you get a life and I'll get a stats checker"

Great fun! He read my e mail I sent to him (which was of course very polite), Helped along by Keith e-mailing him a link to this thread and imploring him to wind me up.

Mark.... you have my respect for being big enough to own up to a silly mistake on here!

Glad for your sake that Tony L did not mention the Granada error live on the BBC but you have achieved your 30 seconds of fame anyway.

PS Krypton Factor was a loooong time ago!!

Keith, what are next week's lottery numbers?

Hmm, alternatively, they could be referring to you? Not only do you have important influence on here but also the best tannoy bloke in Div Two? So not only do you dominate the Morecambe FC printed word but over the air-ways too? What next, a TV appearance?
