No surprise Andy getting most, even though defenders sometimes get overlooked. Just goes to show how good these players have been in the first half of games this season!

;)
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Also shows how well our strikers have been playing

As well as Mr Stanley picking up 3 and only playing half a season!

Clearly with the sponsors lounge adjacent to the pitch they must get the same view and thrill watching sideways passes, as us lot behind the goal get in seeing the goals fly in. The ball moves in the same direction you see.

Well Stanners very rarely gave the ball away and his passes were usually after a surging run so as long as they go to one of our players it is rather better than a "Hollywood" pass that the opposition collect.

Then theres all the goals from his freekicks and corners , best illustrated in the 4-3 win over Crewe last season.

He was our only genuine box to box midfielder so they were on a regular basis.

And our best dead ball kicker and corner taker. Very few goals have come from these sources since he went to the English Riviera. Probably more goals have come from Capaldi's long throw-ins

Yes he was a good dead ball specialist and had amazing energy, they are his best attributes. I'd also say he could be a good leader on the pitch if he was less mouthy, but mouthy is part of his character.

The fact that he is mouthy on the pitch would have made him a good captain IMHO.

Baz is a great keeper at this level but I think our season would have been better with Stanners as captain.

Not mouthy as in talks a lot to the players, mainly mouthy to the opposition and the ref. Not captain qualties i'm afraid, but they define his character and i like that part of his game someone who'll get in the face of the other team.

Mouthy + Brummy accent = laughing stock. I like Stanners, but he isn't captain material in any sense of the imagination. He also isn't as good or influential as people like to think, hence we were no worse or better when he was in the side at the start of the season. When Duffy left we fell to pieces. Factamundo.

Also, English Riviera? You keep saying this, nobody cares. Out of touch.

The only players i have seen this season making a surging run are either Duffy of Wilson , the only time Stanners made a surging run was when he lost it in their box and would run back to our box but would never put a tackle in . . Free kicks were always the same , high floaty curling shot with no power , any opposition defence would only have to watch one video to find out what to expect. Step forward Mr Haining please for next season and get some power behind them . ;)
