Safe unless..

Safe unless..

Postby Christies Child » Mon Apr 25, 2011 5:10 pm

...Barnet produce a miracle in their last 2 games (one v Stanley at the Crown Ground) by my calculations we are already safe. It's going to need an incredible couple of scores in their last games and for us to loose both for them to overtake us.

It looks as though my early season prediction of the Northampton game having added spice will come true.

Actually only 5 goals difference, so if we lose by one goal in each game and they win by one goal in one, and two in the other, and obviously the teams inbetween win then it is still possible.

Just proving your 'mad goal' theory wrong.

Northampton are at home to Stevenage next Saturday and Barnet are at the Crarn Grarnd playing Accy.

Hard to see either of them winning those so Northampton's game here will be huge for them.

Don't rule Lincoln out of the relegation equation either , they are in shocking form.

It would be nice if we can finish with 2 wins and 57 points for 15th place.

There is still a chance, I am not happy until we are mathematically safe.

I'm with Sammy h, I want to see us mathematically safe, preferably before we play Northampton! I doubt if we will go down, but with only a couple of games left, we still don't know.

Isn't it piss poor that, even after recent results, we are still not safe yet.

The fact Northampton score an average of 3 against us and the fact we are terrible a home and terrible against the relegation sides, if it fairly certain Northampton end their streak against us and stay up. So with Barnet being down there for that long and thought they would be relegated ages ago, it should be Lincoln that are really worried, and I would rather they go down.

Steve Kabba is out injured for the last 2 games. He has been influential for Barnet in the last few weeks including scoring 4 in one game. Meanwhile Lincoln are offering free coaches to Oxford - seems to be the trend now!

Actually, it's an utter disgrace that we aren't miles clear of the likes of Bradford, Northampton, Lincoln and tinpot teams like that.

:x
