Crewe 2 Morecambe 1 (Hunter)

After an early Crewe chance we're bossing the game and had several good chances. Defending well on the odd time they get forward.

308 from Morecambe. Great turnout.

Looked like a clear pen for Crewe after Eboue style foul by Drummy.

A great save from a Jevons shot plus a shocking miss by young Jimmy Spencer with a clear header in six yard box. Natives getting restless.

id be looking to swap Spencer for Carlton, these sound like there for the taking of all 3-points.

Drummy dominating the midfield, Hurst playing well, nothing getting past Parrish. We'll probably lose. :( :(

Jimmy's not been great but better than Jev. He'd be first off for me.

cant wait for next season with the supposed reduced squad numbers, might get a good start to a season for once instead of waiting months for a big squad to gel

Great turn and shot by Garry Hunter for the goal.

Crewe came out like a train again with great saves by Barry. Followed by what looked like a definite penalty after a foul on Donaldson.

Also Andy Parrish off injured which has meant a complete change round with Brown on and at least five players switching positions.

Crewe clear a Jimmy Spencer effort off the line!

1-0 up all good

Unfortunately Paz's injury let Crewe get back into it. Joel Grant, contained all first half, has been allowed to roam free and create chances.

Changes now Jimbo on for ineffectual Jevons, and Danny for Kevan Hurst. Gone 5-3-2 to tighten up a bit and get some pace up front.

Donaldson looping header. We've gone off the boil last 10 and not helped by the injury to Paz who was excellent until going off.

Undeserved.

Who knows?

Everybody must be gutted.

Last 2 away games lost in the last 5 minutes.

Concentration? Tactics?

Something wrong somewhere.....

No doubt they'll look back to last years epic at CP and say...'justice done'

Key was Parrish going off. Had Donaldson in his pocket for an hour, no coincidence he ran the show once Paz left the field.

Now this means instead of a relaxing Easter Monday fixture against Hereford we now have to get a win to be safe. Pressure ON!

I have not posted on this forum for a long time because my son tells me off. (off line that is)
but to-day I feel it is time for a change in management NOW while we have a chance of remaining League 2 football. If not keep S.M. and see how we manage in Blue Square-NorthLancs+or even Ryelands Park Sunday. By the way I have been a Morecambe F.C. supporter for 0ver 47 years. I have the son to confirm it. :o :o :o :D :D :D

We would need Barnet a a few others to win all their remaing games for us to go down. Whilst I agree it is time for a change doing it now would be pointless the season would be over by the time somebody else takes over. If we do make a change and i'm not sure we will now were almost in mid-table don't forget, it should be after the Northampton game.

Jevons played fantastically. Looked loads more comfortable and effective inbetween the midfield and attack. Spencer was pretty poor and lost the ball alot. Parrish obviously game changing. McIlroy huge tactical mistakes. You can't sit back and let a team with an amazing strike force like Crewe run free going forwards. When we brought the game to them and played attacking football we had the beating of them. Also, I've got no idea what he was doing taking Jevons off. He was constantly invovled in attacks, while Spencer was quite ineffective.

I hope that the Sammy and Baz thing was heat of the moment stuff otherwise the board will have to decide who is more important to the club's future!
