R.I.P Ken Parker

Same as Heysham, I knew Ken from the early years of Cumberland View as I had a few V.W's from his dealership.
As said he always looked the picture of health mainly down to his holidaying and no doubts those strolls down the finest prom around! I once had the pleasure of standing next to him in the Accy away end and it was an education to say the least

Good on you Ken for all you've done and God Bless

I am absolutely lost for words. Seriously shocked is an understatement.

Ken has been in and around the club as a sponsor, director and chairman for many a long year, and no matter what, he ALWAYS had a broad grin and smile on his face.

RIP Ken. :(

Only met him the once in a pub in Morecambe, can't remember which one, he was in his club tie and suit, we spoke about the club over a pint. He seemed to be a real gentleman with a true love for the club, he has to be remembered somehow by the club.

On behalf of myself, the players and staff, I'd also like to pass on our condolences to Ken's family and close friends.

I was totally shocked tonight after the game to find out this very sad news. Ken was a great fella and someone i had alot of time for. I always enjoyed catching up with him for a chat around the club and have had ( like plenty of players down the years ) many a laugh on the team coach whilst travelling up and down the country. Always smiling and wanting the best for his club, he'll be sorely missed by all. A top man, a gent, a character, one of the Morecambe FC family and a 'true' club legend!!

"Todays win was for you ken!"

Gone but never forgotten, R.I.P mate.

Jim, the players and staff.

Very shocking and sad news.

I was only having a debate with him the other week at the supporters club meeting about buses of all things!

Just shows what a true fan he was that after everything he has done for the club he was still turning up at the new fans club meetings showing that he was a supporter like the rest of us first and foremost.

Always had time for a chat over a pint and was a great fella.

RIP

The comments and shock on here show what a top guy Ken was.

RIP Ken.
I can remember him as the singer with the Falcons and then as DJ in the pier ballroom! Always up for a laugh and a great character. The club won’t seem the same without him around.
