Grand National O/T

Grand National O/T

Postby shrimper » Fri Apr 08, 2011 5:07 pm

Too many with an equal chance this year for me to have a strong fancy so wasn't going to bother.

Then I spotted Killyglen - one of my best mates is nicknamed Killy. Little each way bet at 66/1.

While I was in there I had an impulse bet on Becauseicouldntsee at 25s and did them in a reverse f/cast as well, just in case.

What's everyone else on?
Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

Got 2 winners today :D

Tomorrows winner for me will be Midnight Club as Ruby Walsh is on fire. My each way That's Rhythm is 100/1 and is trained by a customer of mine. Fergies horse is What A Friend for those Mancs amongst you.

Yep, Midnight Club, Oscar Time, What a Friend... all big chances but can't split about half a dozen like that, that's why I've gone slightly off at a tangent this year.

My big fear is that Niche Market wins. Had a decent punt on that last year and, having backed Mon Mome and Comply or Die (in a forecast) the year BEFORE they came 1st and 2nd, I'm worried my 'a year too soon' hoodoo may strike again! (Might have to have a 'saver' bet in the morning!)

If I ever have a bet they tend to run backwards too.
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

Couple of non runners tomorrow, Our Monty being one of them. Can't recall other.

My son has picked That's Rhythm for our "each in the family pick a horse for a pound" annual event. Picked it because of it's musical theme in it's name, and as Shrimper states, got 100/1 on it ...... !!!

My pick, Don't Push It, is only 9/1.
