for some reason am more positive about this one than our next home game against Burton Albion

on a Radio interview this week Sammy mentioned "we are down to the bare bones" now the last time he said that was last season when we went on a 8 game winning streak reverting mainly back to the old guard(what got us promotion) who Sammy discarded after a lot of his new signings were injured or either dropped

dajavu or wishfull thinking?

0 - 2

hard to be positive about this game, so going to go with 1 nil Rotherham, very tough team to play especially with no confidence!!

Normally on a Friday I'm starting to get excited and looking forward to tomorrows game regardless of whether I'm going or not. This week I'm really not feeling it...

I predict an afternoon of pacing around the house whilst nervously hoping that Mr Stelling brings me good tidings. Sadly I think we'll be disappointed to hear that we're been beaten 2-0.

I hope I'm wrong however and best wishes to those who make the journey.

I predict a riot, I predict a riot!

0-0!!

The Rotherham Chuckle Brothers rock up at half-time to perform the entertainment. A citron saxo pulls up alongside the loveable pair whoperfromer the old carrying a carpet around the running track in a comical way that involves the words "to me, to you" routine. Out pops a cocker-spaniel, Barry Chuckle jumps in the car. Paul watches. Both are charged. The entertainment is abruptly ended. How we all laughed.

Porno tash becomes number one upper lip facial hair accessory in the resort as homage to the Chuckle Brothers exploits. Former local newspaper editor wins inaugural “best chuckle brothers tash” award which was run by the Visitor after they got hold of the craze whilst surfing twitter and other internet forums.

Fans rave about 0-0 draw on shrimpsvoices as they are now 1 point closer to safety, training techniques are once again heralded as brilliant and are critically proclaimed as the best since sliced bread.

Will Haining is man of the match for a brilliant display at the back. He is subsequently dropped for telling Sammy that he is the best defender at the club.... he is.

Tony Crapaldi goes to Vegas in 72 days. You heard it here first.

Then someone points out that Barnet and Stockport both won so we're two points closer to doom. Everyone blames Capaldi, who is at home, looking at Vegas brochures. Marky calls for Sammy to be sacked.

Ten minutes later, someone else realises that Barnet beat Burton. Mathamatically it is almost impossible for Stockport to catch us and Burton are falling away so everyone heralds the team once more and Sammy's tactical genius in going to Rotherham to play for a valuable point.

I've got no idea how it will pan out today. I still think this team is under-performing and they could, eventually turn in a display to match Shrewsbury away, in which case, we could beat anyone in this league and it wouldn't be a surprise. But with confidence shattered and turgid football, we're more likely to play for a 0-0 draw and end up with a 2-0 defeat.

So to sum it up...

Amazed and delighted with a win
Happy with a draw
Expecting a defeat.

So how did that work out then?

I was disappointed that Paul and Barry Chuckle were not in attendance.

I sold us short on the boring 0-0; quite an exciting game which resulted in us being deserved winners.

And I got filmed by south Yorkshite police having a pint. A great day all round.
