Bay Radio Stand

Did anyone go in the Bay Radio Stand on Wednesday for the England game? It does actually seem to have better acoustics as a few hundred kids seemed to make quite a lot of noise when England scored. Having the boards at the front to bang also reminded me of the good old days of the Christie Avenue end when you could stand right at the front.

I know it is not likely, but it would be great if when only a couple of hundred away fans come, that we put them in the PMG Stand and allow home fans to swap ends at half time. It would improve everyone's matchday experience, create a better atmosphere and maybe tempt a few more to come down regularly.

The one downside to the stand is the space at the back. It is literally five feet wide! What idiot designed this I do not know. Can only imagine the fun and games at half time when Burley and Bradford came!

I stood in The Bay Radio stand and I liked it it seemed pretty good just above the goal and banging on the board at the bottom.

For crowds of less than 2,000 I would like to see a bit of common sense being used to allow paying customers to enjoy their day a little more.

I was in the main stand for the first time for the England game, but wanted to stand in the away end for the second half. The steward on the "pole/gate" was having none of it - fecking jobsworth.

Common sense seems to have gone out of the preverbial window. Last week i needed to speak to someone who was stood about 20m into the North Terrace. I have a season ticket for the MBW End, so i asked the steward if i could nip and have a word. Only to be told "You can't come in here" i then said, here's my season ticket, hold on to it for the thirty seconds it will take me to get the message to the chap."You can't come in" was the reply. So i waited until 10 mins from time when they opened the gates and thought they would now let me through, but oh no. I then left the stadium and ran round the outside to the north terrace exit to me met by three stewards, one who had made his way from the MBW on the inside of the ground, to be told "You can't come in here cos youve left the stadium. After a bit of Effing and Jeffing i went back to the MBW and walked in past the stewards without a problem.
To say i was fuming was an understatement.

League rules won't allow for fans to swap ends at half time, but I wonder whether the club would consider having the Bay Radio Stand as the home end for next season, and the away fans in the MBW.
Then, what is now Block A could become the Family Stand and the current Block E would be for the away fans who want to be seated.
Don't think it would be that difficult to change, but maybe as with most things there will be some reason why it cannot be done.

The MBW Stand has a much larger capacity than the Bay Radio Stand is why.

There is much less room behind the Bay Radio than the MBW. It would make the home standing terrace more thoroughly unpleasant than it already is to swop to the Bay Radio end,

What do you think about an idea for the future where the North Terrace would become the main standing area for the home fans with the MBW becoming all seated?
Then the sound of the home fans would come directly across to the PMG Stand possibly creating a better all round atmosphere?

This clubs support is overloaded by tick box sluts. No matter where you stand, no matter how many games you can be arsed going to; sing your hearts out. Along with my sardine colleagues I've just penned our best two chants. Everyone to the bar earlydoors on sat.
