Secondly I understand that Duffs wouldn't have been happy if we'd said no and, if we had, it may have backfired. E.g. He might have got a cob on.


And of course, we're talking with hind-sight. If we'd kept him, finished 14th and he'd walked for free, everyone would have been saying we should have cashed in and finished 18th. As it is, we are missing him more than many would have expected. And don't forget, he wasn't in the side for a long time at the start of the season.
