Disappointing today after three better performances against Chesterfield, Southend and Bury.
Our general passing was poor and Bradford were winning the second ball too easily.
Players seemed to be trying the eye of a needle pass instead of keeping it simpler, and why didn't we shoot more instead of the pretty tip tap passing stuff?
IMO Anyon let nobody down today, and had a great second half culminating in the penalty save.
I thought the back four did okay, but Drummond didn't have one of his better games, and Spencer struggled all day, which made it harder for Carlton. Fleming tried hard but kept getting crowded out, and Hurst had flashes without doing a lot.
All in all, a real shame, and now we are really facing a struggle at the bottom of this league.

To be fair about Joe Anyon, after a slightly nervy start he settled well and in the second half made 2 or 3 excellent saves, one in particular that was outstanding and at the end superbly saved the penalty.

Can't blame him for the goal and the only plus from this afternoon was that he got his confidence back after the Bury game. I'd give him 8 out of 10 today.

Thought Anyon played very well. Apart from making some excellent saves, he managed to work out his handling was a bit poor and parried alot of shots away from goal :) However..................referee was s**te! We seemed to lose the ability to play football in the final third and their goal was just a complete joke!

The only time we got any good crosses in were when Shuker came on.

We lost to an appalling team that were happy to waste time from the first half onwards.

Time to recall Craig Stanley if we want league football next season. The corners and free-kicks are shocking.

Who did Shuker replace? 2 cross that went out for throwings?

We can't recall him, He's gone move on,

One of those games where we could have played all day and not scored, summed up when Drummy headed straight at the keeper near the end. Either the final ball into the box was poor or the finishing was wayward.

Our cause wasn't helped by a very poor display by the referee but our biggest problem is that we are just so inconsistent and that's down to the players not the manager.

Massive game against Barnet now, a draw wouldn't be a bad result but a win would fantastic.

Most of Shukers crosses were hard and low into the danger area, unfortunately the keeper just beat our strikers to them.
If anyone thinks that team today is going to avoid the bottom 2 they are deluding themselves.

ps we can recall Stanley at any time and if Peter McGuiggan has a quiet word in Sammy's ear it might just happen ;) ;) ;)

Why are you so sure mr tats? Barnett and Stockport both picked up points today and will continue to do so. If we lose next week we will be up to our knees in the brown stuff.

Sick of people saying Barnet and Stockport are down because they won't be going without a fight!

If we want to move forward we need Drummond out of the team. Without a doubt.

Hereford crap. Macclesfield crap. Northampton no wins in about 20 games. And we won't lose next week.

And we have Macc, Burton, Hereford & Northampton all to play at home. STAYING UP.

Worst officials for a long time IMO. So many poor decisions and so much inconsistancy.

Worst performance for a while too. We were garbage and didn't look interested at times. If Bradford were half decent they would have tonked us today. Their finishing was awful but so was ours. Danny needs to have a word with himself today. His overall play is great but a league 2 striker should at least be hitting the target with some of the chances he had. Spencer was no better and Jevons just doesnt put the effort in at times.

I don't think Parrish was the worst player on the pitch, that was Drummond IMO. Saying that, nobody came out with much credit except perhaps Anyon who did ok today with a few decent stops and a penalty save albeit pointless.

I think Stockport are doomed but Barnet definitely are not. If we lose to them next week, they are 3 points behind us and the games start getting tougher. Its a must win, end of.

We were terrible today. But no wonder when the ref is stopping and starting play all the time its hard to gain momentum when your getting offsides left right and centre. Any time we looked to get going there was a bloody flag in the air. Half the time it shouldnt have been up anyway! Only thing i have to say is im glad no one got frustrated and got a red.
