Quiz Night Monday @ The Globe [edit for clarity]

Just for info.....there is a Quiz Night on at The Globe tonight. It starts at 7.30pm.
There are a couple of offers on beer - John McGuinness is £2.30 a pint, and Holsten Pils is £1.50 a bottle

more thought and time needs to be put into these events, posting on here 7 hours prior is poor and no thought of the possibilty of a bunch of footballers turning up after the community league and wanting to watch chelsea v blackpool

Is this going to be the start of the monthly quiz nights there was talk off or is it a one off?

If there was a fixed date every month say the 1st monday of the monthe etc I think it would work out much better everyone will always know when it's on and can plan accordingly.

Just to let you know....the bar will be showing the football tonight, as well as the Quiz

Managed to pop round last night to see how the quiz was going. a really good format with picture round, general knowledge, specialist rounds and the opportunity to play a "joker" to be able to double your points on your strongest round. there were also sandwiches at half time. the winning team got match tickets for a future match.

The quiz will be on again next week, and hopefully it will build a good following as it progresses, Gordon the quizmaster is a top bloke and last night was a good rehearsal for when there are loads of teams, very relaxed and fun.

the plan in future is also to have a "play your cards right" type game at the end of the quiz to win a cash prize.

next monday, 14th March, the quiz is being sponsored by The Studio, from Alexandra Rd, with a professional photographic session as the prize.

I hope lots of us can support the quiz over the coming weeks and beyond.
