O/T Another GB company goes foreign

Looks as though a French power company are about to take control of one of our power generation companies who own Heysham Power.

Give it 12 months and they will increase output costs and result in another increase in bills from providers. What's the betting that the power costs overseas are cheaper than here.

Can somebody tell me what the f*** is going on with GBplc?

It seems as though everything is in foreign ownership.

Even if British Energy stayed in British hands, 53% of electricity supplied in the UK comes from foreign owned companies. This buy-out would make it 71%. The one that surprised me was Scottish Power is owned by a Spanish company.

My wife and I gave this some very serious thought probably 30 years ago....just a wee bit too far to home games!

Seriously, often wished we had.
